The new ACC Fire Station #2 is part of a 14 acre master site development. KPC was tasked with the complete site package, as well as a Fire Station and Cooperative Extension Center. The Fire Station is 14,000 SF with a 3 stall apparatus bay, consisting of a mixed wood framed and structural steel construction with masonry veneer. As a LEED accredited project, this project features the most energy efficient MEP systems to maintain energy and maintenance cost. This facility is built to serve a staff of 15 full time firefighters and will last the Athens-Clarke County community long into the future. Construction began in September of 2018 and completed in August 2019 even with significant weather delays.
